Gender Action Projects

One of the most exciting parts of interning at the Women's Center is the opportunity to develop a Gender Action Project (GAP).  The goal of the GAP is to support interns in their leadership development by providing the tools necessary for them to implement a program or project that represents their unique passion, experience, background, and perspective.

GAPs provide interns a space to self reflect and express themselves while also learning how to develop an idea or concept into a realized form.  Each intern is given seed funding from the Women's Center to complete their project as well as extensive staff support and access to a variety of other Women's Center and campus resources.

Migrant Woman "In Honor of You"

The UCSD Women Center will host an exhibit of student and community art depicting the diverse lives of migrant women to the United States. In celebration of the migrant woman and her life, we are kindly
requesting YOUR submissions for display/performance during the exhibit. 

Request for Submissions Submission can include:
 
photography, paintings, drawings, poetry, spoken word, music/sound, lyrics, short film

Diversity Now! is a magazine which dedicates itself to the multicultural experiences of the UCSD community. We are currently looking for submissions from people who are multiracial and/or multiethnic, as well
as people who have developed multicultural understandings of the world by living, studying or volunteering
abroad.
 
Submissions can include: articles, personal essays, photographs, poems and more!
